Chilham St Mary’s PTA
We are very fortunate at our school that our PTA has been such an integral part of the school community for many years. In its time the PTA has raised thousands of pounds, which have been spent on improving equipment and resources to enhance our children’s education and the facilities in school in general.
The PTA work closely with the school to help create a great environment for our children to learn in. The main aims are:-
- to raise funds for the purchase of equipment which will enhance our children’s educational and social needs.
- to organise social events to maintain the warm ambiance at the school.
All parents/carers are automatically members of the PTA, and are most welcome to attend committee meetings and become committee members.
If you do not have the time to join the committee, there are plenty of other ways in which you can help support your child’s school. The PTA always need volunteers to help set up & run our fundraising events; do you work for a business who will match-fund; can you source prizes for events?

Film Night – Friday 23rd November. 3.30 – 5.45pm, Chilham Village Hall
We hope that you can join us for our screening of ‘Incredibles 2’. Details have gone out on a flyer and tickets are £3 per child – available in the playground, please speak to Louise, Sarah or Kerry if you would like more information or to purchase a ticket. We are supplying popcorn and drinks and there will even be refreshments for the children!
Plans for the Christmas Fair are in Full Swing…
The fair will be held on FRIDAY 14th December at the Village Hall from 2pm, more details to follow closer to the time. In the meantime we need lots of help, please speak to one of the committee if you can offer a hand setting up, running a stall, baking cakes or tidying away at the end, many hands make light work and we welcome help of any kind. We are currently having weekly planning meetings in the run up to the fair, these are being held on Wednesday’s at 2pm in the dining hall. Please feel free to pop along if you can make it.
The hugely popular ‘Adopt a Teddy’ stall will be returning this year, and we would like to ask you to donate any teddies you may have that need a new home. Kirsty is collecting these from now until a few days before the fair, and would love to take them off your hands.
Friday 7th December will be NON UNIFORM DAY in return for donations for the CHOCOLATE TOMBOLA. This stall was a big hit at the fair last year and we would love it to be just as successful this year, don’t worry, we will remind you closer to the time!
