Sports News

We love sport at Chilham and strive to give sporting opportunities to all of our children.

The benefits of sport in the lives of  young children are boundless and leading an active life has been proven to improve our mental and physical health and fitness and wellbeing. This is why we are passionate about sport a Chilham!

Our Sports Council made up of six pupils from year 5 who are always looking to find ways to encourage everyone to become more active and promote the enjoyment of a variety of different sports within school. This year they will be running a playtime sports fun club for children in the Wrens as well as helping to organise publicise and equip a number of intra- school events.

With this years Sainsbury’s vouchers we were able to purchase some new playground equipment, cricket set and javelins, so a huge Thank You to everyone for sending them in. They do make a real difference.

Everyone did a great job and raised an amazing £875 for the charity. What an amazing achievement!
